Edgewater runs along Biscayne Bay north of downtown, with Margaret Pace Park on the water and a wall of condominium towers behind it. Most heaters here sit in utility closets or on service balconies, where access and drainage decide how a replacement is handled.
The bayfront blocks here also sit low. Seasonal high tides and heavy summer rain can leave standing water in ground-level parking and utility areas, so a unit that has been splashed or submerged is checked before it is switched back on. Upper-floor closets bring the opposite concern: pressure regulators and shared risers that decide how a relief valve behaves.
